SoFlo Exposure CampThis camp is Coach Sam’s baby! Originally located in Northern California, this camp gives such a unique take on “exposure camps.” All coaches are current collegiate softball coaches and will be the ONLY ones doing any sort of instructing.
In the morning we start with a dynamic stretch, followed by drill work, in a fast-paced, practice-like setting. Positions will be rotated and ample time will be given for each girl, with their primary and secondary. Girls break for lunch and while in the past, we allowed them time to cool off and chat with their fellow campers, we wanted to make the MOST use out of our time. I mean, college athletes have to multi-task ALL.THE.TIME, right? While the girls are snacking on their lunch, players will enjoy a Zoom with guest speaker, Coach Mike Candrea. Once lunch is over, we will start the LIVE games! These are our absolute favorite! 2-1 counts, runner on 2B, live umpires. Go! Camp will end at 2 pm both days. On Friday, same set-up, except this time at lunch; they will be introduced to University of Arkansas coach, Paige, via Zoom, to go over the mental aspect of the game. She runs a FEIRCE Mindset class and the girls will HIGHLY benefit from it! Bats, gloves, Evoshield arm guards, stretching bands and much more, will be awarded as camp prizes! So much love has gone into this camp and it’s going to be the best one YET! We can’t wait! |
